Burgess Williams is a dedicated and experienced personal injury attorney with over 15 years in the field. His legal career has been focused on helping individuals during some of the most challenging times of their lives. Burgess has secured settlements and won jury trials in commercial motor vehicle crashes and workplace injuries, representing clients with orthopedic and brain injuries requiring lifetime care.

Burgess brings a vibrant array of experiences to his legal practice. A graduate of Wake Forest University in 2000 where he majored in history and played on the varsity soccer team, his journey did not stop there. Burgess immersed himself in the cultures of Costa Rica and Argentina, becoming fluent in Spanish while working as a hunting and fishing outfitter. His entrepreneurial spirit also led him to found Cacciani, an e-commerce business specializing in leather apparel and accessories.

Burgess returned to the U.S. to attend law school at Florida State University, graduating in 2008 with a certificate in international law.. He started his legal career at the Florida Department of Transportation General Counsel’s office before moving to Austin, Texas, in 2010 to join a plaintiff personal injury firm. Burgess has not looked back and has dedicated his career to helping victims of negligence.  His unwavering commitment to holding insurance companies accountable and making the world a safer place has always been his driving force.

Burgess’ steadfast dedication to his clients exemplifies his deep passion for justice. Fluent in Spanish, he can effectively communicate with clients who may feel disadvantaged in our legal system, ensuring they receive the support they need. He is recognized in the Top 100 Verdicts in Texas (2018) and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He has been listed as a Texas Rising Star by Super Lawyers and a Super Lawyer in 2024. Additionally, Burgess has published research, having written “The Fate of Third-party Ownership of Professional Footballers’ Rights: Is a Complete Prohibition Necessary?” in the Texas Review of Entertainment & Sports Law.

Burgess is a member of multiple state bars, including Florida, Texas, D.C., Minnesota, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico, and is admitted to practice in numerous U.S. District Courts across these states. He is also actively involved in several professional organizations, such as the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association, and the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys.

Burgess is married to Amanda Williams, whom he met in law school, and they have two daughters, Teagan and Vivian. He is an avid soccer fan, supporting Austin FC, FC Barcelona, and Boca Juniors.
