Burgess brings a vibrant array of experiences to his legal practice. A graduate of Wake Forest University in 2000 where he majored in history and played on the varsity soccer team, his journey did not stop there. Burgess immersed himself in the cultures of Costa Rica and Argentina, becoming fluent in Spanish while working as a hunting and fishing outfitter. His entrepreneurial spirit also led him to found Cacciani, an e-commerce business specializing in leather apparel and accessories.
Burgess returned to the U.S. to attend law school at Florida State University, graduating in 2008 with a certificate in international law.. He started his legal career at the Florida Department of Transportation General Counsel’s office before moving to Austin, Texas, in 2010 to join a plaintiff personal injury firm. Burgess has not looked back and has dedicated his career to helping victims of negligence. His unwavering commitment to holding insurance companies accountable and making the world a safer place has always been his driving force.

Burgess is married to Amanda Williams, whom he met in law school, and they have two daughters, Teagan and Vivian. He is an avid soccer fan, supporting Austin FC, FC Barcelona, and Boca Juniors.
